Because Miranda Kenneally is a must read author for me, I didn't know too much about this book except that it dealt with soccer and the setting.
And I knew I would love it.
What I didn't know what the side story revolving around politics. You'd like with all the politic drama going on in the world, I'd be tired of it. And I am, but not in the fiction world.
Taylor's dad was up for re-election and due to a huge misunderstand and a lie, everything changes for Taylor in heartbeat. But because her actions reflect on her family, everything could change for her father too. Taylor wasn't thinking about that when she told the lie - now she's hoping she can make everything right again.
Recently there have been quite a few YA books dealing with politics.
They are So good.
So I'm going to make a book list soon. Be sure to keep our eye out for it in the YA room (along with some other book lists)
